Truth or Dare, Charades, Musical Jenga? Customise Your Giant Jenga Game!

Who doesn't love this classic game? Jenga is a childhood staple and is sure to spark some old-school nostalgia. Our jumbo-sized Giant Jenga and Hi-Tower editions are perfect for your little ones birthday party, a game night with friends, or a big family barbecue. Larger blocks call for larger laughs as you all build and destroy (and build again).

Everyone knows how thrilling this timeless game can be. We remember the tense rush of pulling out a block and carefully stacking it on top to build an increasingly unstable tower. Then the nail-biting anticipation comes to a crashing climax as it all tumbles down.

Customising your blocks adds an extra level of fun, with an endless list of exciting games you can create. Our larger-than life Giant Jenga  and Hi-Tower versions are very easy to personalise. From a standard truth or dare to a themed trivia game , you’ll never be bored. Aside from entertainment, it can also be a learning tool for children, aiding with everything from colour recognition to simple mathematics.

Here are our 7 favourite ways to customise your Giant Jenga or Hi-Tower set:

1. Colourful Giant Jenga

The ultimate challenge for tiny players, paint the ends of the blocks and a die with three different colours. At the start of your turn, roll the die to see what colour it lands on. You've got to be strategic, as you can only take away blocks painted the same colour.

2. Charades

It’s time to test everyone’s acting skills! On each block, simply write down the name of a famous person, your favourite animal, or a TV character - just anyone you can think of. When it's your turn, whatever is scribbled on your chosen block needs to be brought to life without words or sounds. For example, if your word is horse, act out any action to help the others guess, even if you have to gallop around. It will definitely bring out everyone’s competitive side, as the person who guesses correctly first gets a point!

3. Boredom-Buster

Another way to make the game more interesting, on each block write down a hilarious activity. Anything from singing a tune, doing a handstand, or reciting the alphabet backwards - so long as it challenges everyone. When you take a block, you'll have two minutes to complete the challenge, with the winners earning one point!

4. Conversation Starter

Another way to make the game more interesting, on each block write down a hilarious activity. Anything from singing a tune, doing a handstand, or reciting the alphabet backwards - so long as it challenges everyone. When you take a block, you'll have two minutes to complete the challenge, with the winners earning one point!

5. Truth or Dare

Let your family and friends decide your fate with this high-steak take of your Jenga or Hi-Tower set. Draw a D for dare or a T for truth at the end of every block. During your turn, check the mark and wait to find out what the others have in store. The different types of dares and questions that people come up with will be sure to keep you on your toes!

6. Trivia Game

How are your general knowledge skills? Paint each block with six different colours, and do the same with a die. Select a question category for each colour and put together a list of questions. They can cover any theme you like, with topics like movies, science, and geography. Split up your family and friends into teams and battle it out! At the start of your go, decide your block colour and let another team read out a random question from that category. When you answer correctly, your team scores one point!

7. Musical Giant Jenga

Put on your dancing shoes with this musical spin on the game. Start by putting together a stellar playlist and assigning someone to control the music, having them randomly pause and play each tune. When the music is playing, you have to draw and place blocks while dancing. But as soon as you hear it stop - you have to freeze! You get one point if you successfully don't move.

Let Your Creatvity Shine

Thinking of where to start? We're here to help get your creativity juices flowing. When customising your Giant Jenga or Hi-Tower blocks, we have a few suggestions for choosing the right supplies. With the paint, make sure it's suitable for wood and is a non-toxic variant. Don't forget to buy a few paint brushes, a roller, and a palette. To write down any challenges or prompts, what worked best for me is a liquid chalk pen - but any marker will suffice.
